Cosplay to Couture: How Steff Von Schweetz Brought Anime Chic from Screen to Vegas Streets
Stephanie, who goes by Steff online, is a professional sewist and cosplayer. The word “cosplay” is a portmanteau of “costume play,” where artists dress as characters from various media. They have taken it much further than simple dress-up and roleplay—it’s now a career for them, beyond cosplay and into the realm of fashion design itself.

Nightsky Newscast
Host, creator
My pride and joy is the Nightsky Newscast, a Youtube series in collaboration with the Dale Etheridge Planetarium, Las Vegas’ only planetarium. I report on astronomy news and events for the local community. I oversee most everything for the show—scripting, production, editing, and hosting.

Sample script
I use Google Docs to make my scripts and share them with my collaborators helping me on the Newscast. I first come up with ideas, bullet points I want to cover for them, and then flesh out the script.
